The Racine office of Legal Action of Wisconsin provides free legal
advice and representation in civil matters to eligible applicants
residing in
Kenosha, Racine & Walworth
counties. If you do not reside in one of these three counties, please

Our office provides free legal advice and
representation in civil matters including:

Family law:
Divorces, custody & placement disputes, injunctions;

Consumer law:
Bankruptcy, collections, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act;

Housing law:
Eviction, denial or termination of public housing benefits,
security deposits, foreclosures;

Public Benefits:
Unemployment Insurance, Disability benefits &
Supplemental Security Income (SSI), W-2, Food Stamps, Kinship Care,
Medicaid, Badger Care, and Energy Assistance;

Our office reserves the right to decline services to a potential
client for reasons of conflicts of interest, lack of funding, and/or
lack of staff resources. Legal Action cannot handle criminal, Selective
Service, school desegregation, redistricting, class action, abortion,
or fee-generating cases. If you have any questions regarding what

NOTICE OF GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc., has a Grievance Procedure to help
clients and prospective clients concerning: (a) the quality of legal
assistance they have been provided by attorneys employed by LAW, and
(b) the denial of legal assistance by attorneys employed by LAW.
Persons wishing to complain should contact the Managing Attorney of the
office serving the county in which they reside.
