outside the Country
What if I am going on
vacation?
If you plan on traveling
more than 50 miles away from your HMO’s service area and require regular
medical attention, you should contact your HMO’s customer service department
to request permission for such care before you leave.
What happens if I am moving
to another county?
If you plan on moving to
a different county, contact the Enrollment Specialist at 800-291-2002 in
order to make sure you sign up with an HMO in that county.
What happens if an emergency
occurs
when I am out of town?
You should seek immediate
medical attention from any hospital, doctor or clinic. Then call your HMO
as soon as possible, so they can make arrangements for the payment of the
bill.
