The Health Advocacy Project
is a program of Legal Action of Wisconsin and Community Advocates. It is
designed to help people who are enrolled in Medicaid managed care programs
such as HMOs.
The Health Advocacy Project
can help if:
You want advice about your Medicaid
eligibility or any HMO problem you have.
You don’t feel you are getting
the treatment and help you need.
You don’t agree with the alcohol
or drug treatment you are getting.
You can’t solve a problem by
talking to the nurse, doctor or your HMO.
You’re not sure about how to
make a complaint.
You want an advocate to represent
you when you file a grievance or fair hearing.
You feel your rights are being
violated.
