Medicaid Eligibility
Who is eligible for Medicaid?
To become eligible for
Medicaid,
you must be one of the
following:
under age 19,
age 65 or over,
permanently disabled or blind,
a pregnant woman,
a caretaker relative of a
minor under age 18.

You must also be a resident
of Wisconsin and a citizen of or a qualified alien in the United States.
To be a qualified alien, you must have legal papers that allow you to stay
in this country. Aliens living in the United States who have no legal papers
are not eligible for Medicaid except for emergency services, including
labor and delivery. If they have citizen children, these children may be
eligible for Medicaid. |
