Becoming a New Client
Because of its size, Legal Action's Milwaukee Office has a variety of ways
for people seeking assistance to contact our office. People who live outside of the
Milwaukee/Waukesha are, should visit the web site of our offices in
Racine,
Green Bay,
Oshkosh,
Madison,
or La Crosse.
The Milwaukee office of Legal Action of Wisconsin provides free legal
advice and representation in civil matters to eligible applicants
residing in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.

Legal Emergency Assistance Project (Family Violence
Emergencies in Milwaukee County)
LEAP is a collaboration between Legal Action and the Task Force on Family Violence.
The purpose of the project is to provide emergency legal assistance and
supportive family services at the same time to families attempting to escape
domestic violence.

Our office reserves the right to decline services to a potential
client for reasons of conflicts of interest, lack of funding, and/or
lack of staff resources. Legal Action cannot handle criminal, Selective
Service, school desegregation, redistricting, class action, abortion,
or fee-generating cases. If you have any questions regarding what
kind of cases our office handles, please contact us.

NOTICE OF GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc., has a Grievance Procedure to help
clients and prospective clients concerning: (a) the quality of legal
assistance they have been provided by attorneys employed by LAW, and
(b) the denial of legal assistance by attorneys employed by LAW.
Persons wishing to complain should contact the Managing Attorney of the
office serving the county in which they reside.
