The SHIP Manual is a resource for advocates. It is provided as an informational tool which we hope will help you be better able to provide accurate information to the older persons you serve. Although the information in this manual is current as of the date of printing September 2006), the programs discussed change often. It is important that you check on the statuts of these programs and review their eligibility requirements frequently.

This manual is an informational tool only and is not intended as legal advice.   Persons requiring legal advice or assistance with a benefits issue should consult with a qualified elder law attorney or their benefit specialist.
